Feria de LondreS
Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th May
Spring Bank Holiday Weekend
London EC2V 5AE
Feria de Londres brings a Feast of Spain to the heart of the City of London over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend. Colourful casetas will line the Guildhall Yard serving delicious Spanish food and refreshing drinks. Family activities will be on offer, and a stage will showcase vibrant performances by flamenco dancers and live bands throughout the weekend.
Taking place on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th, Feria de Londres is inspired by Andalusia’s famous Feria de Sevilla and Feria del Caballo in Jerez, which started in the 1800s as livestock fairs and developed into the spectacle they are today. Ferias are a celebration of Spanish culture through music, delicious food and drinks, and parades of people dressed in elegant, brightly coloured flamenco dresses.
This year, Feria de Londres will host Feast of Spain, a food market featuring some of London’s best Spanish food stalls, suppliers of Spanish produce, food and sherry wine tastings, and the UK’s first ever Paella competition in association with the London School of Paella.
At the heart of every Feria lies music and dance. Guest can immerse themselves in live music and dance performances featuring UK based artists and special guests joining from Spain. Dance and rhythm workshops will be provided by Ilusión Flamenca, one of London’s leading flamenco schools.
Taking place over one of London’s busiest Bank Holidays, Feria de Londres is a unique and free event that invites Londoners and tourists alike to experience first-hand the warmth, vitality and spirit of Spanish food, culture, art and fun.
